The AI Agent runs within the customer's environment, while relevant operational information is sent to Anthropic Claude for processing. Under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms, customer data is not used for model training by default.

How is DataCore AI deployed across my SANsymphony environment?
DataCore AI uses a single, centrally deployed AI Agent that runs on a Linux physical or virtual machine. One Agent can connect to multiple SANsymphony systems across your network, so there is no need to install an Agent on each storage node.
Can I use other large language models besides Anthropic Claude?
The initial release supports Anthropic Claude. DataCore plans to support additional LLM providers in future releases.
Can DataCore AI automatically make changes to my storage environment?
No. DataCore AI is read-only. It provides insights, troubleshooting guidance, and recommendations while administrators retain full control over operational changes.
Do I need a separate Anthropic Claude license, and are there additional costs?
Customers provide their own Anthropic API key and pay the associated LLM usage charges. There is no additional DataCore license cost for DataCore AI.
What do I need to get started with DataCore AI?
You need SANsymphony version 10.0 PSP21 or later, a Linux system to run the AI Agent, a free DataCore AI activation key, and supported Anthropic Claude API access.
